The weather is a little crisp, and that makes it the perfect time to go horseback riding. You don’t need your own horse to hit the trails. Just head to a local stable and go for a ride. You’ll love connecting to nature and seeing the sights as you sit atop a horse.
Juro Stables
Juro Stables is located in Mount Juliet and is an excellent place to go horseback riding. This place is very accommodating to beginners, even those who haven’t ridden a horse before. The horses are very docile and trained to follow, so you don’t have to worry about getting out of line. Also, the guides are fantastic and will help you out along the way. The entire experience is fun, but the end is the best. That’s when you get free reign. You can ride your horses around an open area, going in any direction that you want. The instructors are still right there though, so you’ll feel completely safe.
Natchez Trace Stables
Natchez Trace Stables is located in Primm Springs, and it’s well worth the drive. The rides usually last for a couple of hours, and you’ll go through all kinds of terrain. You’ll get to run your horse from time to time, which is a ton of fun. Try to make an appointment in the late afternoon so you can see the sunset through the trees. There’s something about watching the sunset while riding a horse that makes it extra special.

You can schedule a mini lesson and beginner trail ride combo, so your little ones can learn the basics before hitting the trails. The staff here is excellent with little ones and will even walk beside your kids if you’re nervous about them riding. The trails are also perfect for the little ones. They are a bit more relaxed than you’ll find at most places, so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of hills or obstacles. You can just sit back, relax, and ride. If you could, you’d spend all your time on a horse. That’s not practical, though. Can you imagine riding a horse down I-24? No; sometimes, you need four wheels, and James Corlew Chevrolet in Clarksville, Tennessee, has just what you want and need. See us before or after your ride, and we will hook you up with the perfect set of wheels.
