Rock Out At Downtown @ Sundown

Downtown @ Sundown

It’s fun listening to music on the radio or on your phone, but music is really meant to be listened to live. There’s something about hearing the strum of a guitar and the timbre of a voice live that makes music sound so much better. There’s just one problem. Concerts are expensive.

Well, that might be true under normal circumstances, but it’s far from the case when you attend the Downtown @ Sundown Concert Series and Street Fair. This free concert series occurs on the third Friday of the month through October, so you can get your fill of live music without dipping into your bank account. Head to Downtown Commons on Sept. 21 and Oct. 19 to take in the last two concerts of the season. The opening act will take the stage at 7 p.m., and then the main act will take over at 8 p.m. You can also come a little earlier to check out the street fair, which starts at 6 p.m.

Rock Out to Country on Sept. 21

Sept. 21’s Downtown @ Sundown is going to be so much fun. Lucian and Lee will perform an acoustic show to open up the evening. Then, Sheyna Gee will take the stage. She is known for her California country sound and is as comfortable playing current hits as she is with tackling the classics. There’s a good chance Sheyna Gee will be the next big thing in country music, so don’t miss out on a chance to see her for free.

Hear a Local Favorite on Oct. 19

You know the final show of the season is going to be a big one. The night will open up with Dozzi. If the trio looks similar, it’s because all three are sisters. They made a splash in their native Australia, and they decided to head to Nashville to become even bigger country stars.

So how do you follow an act like that?

How about the Joel Brown Band? This local favorite is known for its acoustic funk sound, and the band tends to play an assortment of originals and covers. Don’t be surprised if you get up on your feet when this band plays. They have a way of getting the crowd involved.

You have a lot of great music on the horizon and can’t wait to get to the concert. But first things first. You need to upgrade your vehicle before you go to Downtown @ Sundown. James Corlew Chevrolet Cadillac in Clarksville, Tennessee, has just what you’re looking for in a new ride. Come by and pick up your new wheels. Then, plug Downtown Commons into the GPS and take in some live music.
