The Ajax Turner Senior Citizen Center is putting on an event for the ages. The center is commonly referred to as the Clarksville 50+ Activity Center, but you don’t have to be 50 or over to attend the Masquerade Ball on Feb. 16. As long as you’re at least 18, you can come.
The ball will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and it will be full of all of the fun you expect at a masquerade ball. Tickets only cost $15, so pick some up and get ready for a night you will always treasure.
The Details
You’ll need to put on your best attire to attend the masquerade ball. This is your chance to impress all of the people of Clarksville, so get as glamorous as you can. Also, be sure to bring your mask along with you. Add some beads and feathers, as well, to have even more fun.
Once you arrive, you will get to eat a Chinese dinner. After you finish your meal, it will be time for dancing. Take your mask out on the dance floor with you to add a little bit of mystery to the festivities. You will be amazed by how much fun you have when you spend the evening dancing in your mask.
The Music
It wouldn’t be a ball without great music, and this masquerade ball is going to deliver. DJ Jay Karl Jensen will be there spinning tunes. Expect a fun assortment of music when you attend. You are going to want to get down and dance all night long.
Other Events
It seems like there is always something going on at the senior center. Right now, it’s hosting the Retro J’s Lounge Music and Dance event on various dates through June 22. Be sure to catch it on Feb. 8 or 22. You can also attend the Indoor Yard Sale. It runs on multiple days through June 1, with the next date being on Feb. 2.
