Christmas is coming to Clarksville in a big way. The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the Community Christmas Party on Dec. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and this free event will be full of family fun. Gather the kids, head to the Burt-Cobb Recreation Center, and make some memories with your family.
Here are the event’s most anticipated activities.
Letters to Santa
Your kids want to have a direct line to the man in charge, and they’ll get that at the Community Christmas Party. Kids can write a letter to Santa, and then the department will take care of the rest. It turns out the parks and recreation department has a direct line to the man in the red suit, so your kiddos can rest assured he’ll get their letters.
Play Games
Wouldn’t it be great if your kids played some games that weren’t on a console? They can play some old-fashioned games at the Community Christmas Party, and they’ll have even more fun than they have on the PlayStation.
The staff will host musical chairs, a balloon pop, and a cupcake walk. Those will all be fun, but the scooter relay race just might be the best of the games. Kids will team up and take on others during this adrenaline-pumping race.
Arts and Crafts
Do your kids have a crafty side? They can express it at the Community Christmas Party. They’ll get to make some crafts they can take home to decorate your home for the holidays. Don’t be surprised if those crafts end up in your memory book. Just imagine looking back at them 10 or 20 years down the line. Talk about making some memories.

Face Painting
As long as your kids are celebrating, they’ll want to look the part. That won’t be a problem at the Christmas party. There will be free face painting there, so your kids can express themselves while celebrating the holidays. You’ll love looking at all the little reindeer and snowmen at the party.
You know what else you’ll love? Getting a new vehicle from James Corlew Chevrolet in Clarksville, Tennessee. See us before you head to the Community Christmas Party. We’ll help you pick out something that you’ll love this holiday season and beyond.
