As Halloween approaches, many people in Clarksville, TN, are ready to get their scare on. The frightening aspects of Halloween aren’t for everyone, but if it’s what thrills and excites you, there are many options nearby to get your heartbeat racing. Haunted houses and venues can put anyone on edge and put you in the Halloween spirit. Check out a few of these this fall.
Dead Land Haunted Woods
Located in nearby Lebanon, TN, Dead Land Haunted Woods is a terrifying place that will sure to draw your screams. What’s a better setting for ghosts and ghouls than a dark forest? The haunted woods begin with a starting point from a peaceful campfire but take you through some tense moments amid the trees. Your heart will be pumping the whole time. This venue includes a carnival and an above-ground crypt that will test your courage and mettle. There are plenty of concessions and things to eat here to help you keep your strength up. It’s open from 7 p.m. to midnight through Oct. 30.
Zombie Daze
It doesn’t get much scarier than being tracked by a horde of crazed zombies. But that’s what you’re getting yourself into when you go to Zombie Daze in Holladay, TN. It is open until Nov. 6 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. every night. Your job here is to hunt down as many zombies as you can — before they can get you first. For $15, you’ll get 100 paintballs as you make your way through the packs of zombies. You can purchase more at an extra cost. In addition, the venue includes a much younger-crowd-friendly pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hayride.
Devil’s Dungeon
Downtown Nashville is home to this 20,000-square-foot haunted house. The dark venue is filled with corridors and places to get scared. Visitors will find themselves among some of the most horrifying Halloween images this season.
The Haunting at 360
This haunted house is a little less intense than others, so it might be a good option for younger (but not too young) visitors. Don’t think it’ll be a walk in the park, though. The Haunting at 360 takes you into the Asylum where you’ll see and hear some disturbed individuals ready to put the fright in you.

Another outdoor favorite, this one is open for visitors ages 12 and up. There will be plenty of screams and yells here as you creep along the trail in the dark forest. There’s also a zombie maze and an indoor component to this haunted venue. Everything here will keep you on edge and bring up your adrenaline levels. If you’re looking for something to raise your emotions this Halloween, you can’t go wrong with this option.
Visiting a haunted house is on the to-do list of many people during Halloween time. These places are among the best you can pick.
