However, the Traverse offers more cargo space with 98.2 cu. ft. compared to the Tahoe which has up to 94.7 cu. ft. When it comes to power, the Tahoe offers a 5.3L V8 engine offers maximum towing capability of up to 8,600 lbs compared to the Traverse which offers a 3.6L V6 engine with available towing capability of up to 5,000 lbs. Although the Tahoe offers more robust power, the Traverse offers better fuel efficiency.
