The Clarksville BBQ Bash is quickly shaping up to become one of the biggest events in the city. This annual event attracts barbecue enthusiasts from all over who compete as teams to prove they have the best barbecue. There is also music, a corn hole tournament, and so much more. This year’s Clarksville BBQ Bash will be on Oct. 20 at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park. The free event starts at 11 a.m., and it’s going to be the best one yet. The organizers have added some extras to this year’s bash, so you won’t want to miss out on the fun.
Choose the Best Barbecue
Last year, the judges chose the best barbecue, and while they’ll still have a say, there will also be a People’s Choice winner. Here’s the fun part. As a judge, you will get to sample all the barbecue. There’ll be up to 30 teams in attendance, so that’ll be a lot of good food. Then, after you try it all, you’ll get to help pick the winner. Choose wisely, since the winning team takes home a cash prize.
The Beer and BBQ Fun Run
This year, the organizers of the BBQ Bash are also hosting the Beer and BBQ Fun Run. Adults can participate for $35, and children 12 and under can race for $10 each. If you wait until race day, you’ll have to pay $5 extra. This race is only a mile long, so regardless of your fitness level, you can participate. Oh, and don’t worry about getting hungry or thirsty along the route. There will be beer and barbecue stops throughout the course, so you can stay fueled as you make your way through Liberty Park.
