Do you find yourself glued to the television during the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants? If so, why don’t you see a pageant in person? The 2019 Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA will be held at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall in Clarksdale on Oct. 12–13. This pageant serves as the preliminaries before the main event, which are the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants.

Who Can Compete?
You’ve always wanted to take the big stage at a pageant, but who can compete? Can just anyone sign up, or is the pageant only open to people who have won pageants in the past?
You might not realize this, but you can take part in this pageant, even if you’ve never been in one before. If you want to compete for Miss Teen USA, you need to have a birthdate between 2000-2004. Want to be Miss Tennessee USA? You just need to be born between 1991-2000.
Other than that, you just need to be a female and resident of Tennessee for at least three months. You also can’t be married or divorced, and you cannot have a child if you’re going to compete in one of the pageants.

Want to Watch?
You love beauty pageants, but you aren’t interested in participating. You can still take part in the fun by watching. Stop by on Oct. 12 to see the preliminary competition. Then, you can catch the final show the next day. The day will start with the Miss Tennessee Teen final show at 3 p.m., and then the Miss Tennessee final show will be at 7:30 p.m. This is when you will listen to the interview portion of the competition. You will get to know the contestants much better when you listen to what they have to say.
